It’s finally here! Honey Pump Gallery in partnership with Artesson and the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) will launch Roadmaps, an international exhibition featuring works by twenty three Artists of Armenian descent on July 18th. Coming off the heels of the Velvet Revolution, the Armenian identity is redefined yet familiar. These artists are exploring the non-linear narratives which guide and bewilder our understanding of the Armenian identity. For some, considering “Where is my roadmap taking me?” became a phenomenological pursuit. This exhibition is an expression of a decade’s long revolutionary visual language which had been percolating in the Armenian consciousness throughout the country and the diaspora. Artists from all walks of life submitted work which begins an inclusive conversation about the future of their shared identity. Roadmaps will include new works by Arthur Sarkissian, Kamee Abrahamyan, Liana Aghajanian, Gayane Van Yerkanyan, Marsha Odabashian, Karen Barseghyan, Samvel Saghatelyan, and Vahagn Hamalbashyan.
